About

Hello and welcome! My name is Becky Schultea, and my creative endeavors have spanned 5 decades so far! They have included everything from oil painting with my Mom at age 12 to designing for a large Christian gift manufacturer at 19, and from t-shirt painting in the 80's back to designing for the Christian gift market today. In between all the designing and illustration, I also honed my business skills in Real Estate sales, then in Corporate Training for 13 years. Finally, I am back to my first love - full time freelance illustration and art licensing!

Though seasoned in a wide variety of media, including watercolor and colored pencil, digital illustration is my current major mode of artistic expression. I strive to create colorful, joyful, whimsical and encouraging designs that express my faith in God and His purpose for us all.

In addition to illustration, I have been know to stop at every garage sale I see visit a garage sale or two, and have amassed a pretty good assortment of vintage junk that I enjoy repurposing in my studio.

I also love to do cheap thrifty DIY decorating, no-sew projects, and any number of other crafting projects for our home and for family and friends.

Born and raised in Texas, I returned to my beloved Texas roots in 2006 after an 8 year stay in beautiful Colorado.

I now happily make my home in our "Woodland Cottage" in The Woodlands, Texas (north end of Houston) with my sweet, talented hubby Johnny and precious little Pek-a-Poo Maddie.

I am truly blessed and so very grateful to God for His love for me and for His grace that grips me tightly! All glory goes to Him for anything that may bring joy from the works of my hands!

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10
